Our application process will begin on October 1st, with grants being awarded in December.

The Junior League of Texarkana awards grants to area teachers for innovative, classroom projects through Teacher Take Wing. With support from local schools, grant applications are distributed to teachers at the beginning of each school year. Applications are reviewed, scored, and ranked anonymously by the Teacher Take Wing Committee, and grants are awarded in the fall.

The Junior League of Texarkana, Inc. is once again offering Teacher Take Wing mini grants to Texarkana area schools. Last year, we proudly awarded approximately $10,000 to area teachers to enhance their educational programs. This year, we are pleased to announce that we are able to award $5,000 in grant monies.

Applicants must submit their applications ONLINE through the link below. Please note that the grants will be awarded to teachers in grades K-12 in amounts ranging from $50 to $500. All grants must be expended during the 2025-2026 school year. In order to allow as many teachers as possible the chance to receive a grant, we will only accept ONE grant application per teacher. A Scoring Sheet is included so you can review the criteria. 

Funds for this project are made possible through proceeds from the Junior League of Texarkana’s annual fundraisers; Mistletoe Market, Eggstravaganza, Clubs & Bugs Fore a Cause and other donations. Please note that grant applications are reviewed anonymously by a committee of JLT members. The top 20-30 applicants will be awarded grant money based on the amounts requested. Please refer to the Score Sheet when writing your grant.

Important Reminder:
To complete the requirements of your grant, please submit a photo of the materials purchased or a photo of your students using the purchased materials. These images must be emailed to jltexarkana@gmail.com no later than Monday, February 2, 2026. Failure to provide proof of purchase by this deadline will result in a request for reimbursement of the grant amount to the Junior League of Texarkana.
